We
are committed to respecting your privacy. You can visit our site without
revealing any information about yourself. We do collect information regarding
visitors to our website. Some information is required in order to process
orders. For example we analyze this data for trends and statistics to help us
provide you with a better service.
To
process your order we require your name, invoice address, telephone number,
email address and credit card details. Any information provided by you will be
used for our purposes only and will not be made available to third parties
unless for the specific use of processing your order i.e. submitting your
address details to a courier for the delivery of your software. Your
information will not be shared with individuals or other companies such as
direct mail organizations or other third parties unless required by law.
Cookies are small bits of text used by a
browser to store information on your computer's hard disk. Each cookie can only
be read by the web server that originally issued it. Cookies cannot profile
your system or collect information from your hard disk. Online retailers use
cookies to make the ordering process smoother and more pleasurable.
We
use cookies to let us know you are a prior customer and thus you will not need
to re-enter certain information every time you shop at the site. We do not use
cookies to store credit card numbers, address information or any other personal
information.
Our website has security measures in place to
protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.
All account information you use or supply on our website when ordering or
tracking products is completely secure. We use the most advanced encryption
technology to protect you from unauthorised use of information supplied on our
web site.
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is the industry
standard security protocol used to encode sensitive information such as credit
card numbers that pass between your personal computer and our website. SSL
works by creating a temporary shared key or session that lets only the
computers on either end of a transmission scramble and unscramble information.
The SSL transmission is indecipherable by any individuals or servers that relay
the message between the sender and the receiver. When your web browser enters
our secure website our server hosting the site acknowledges your web browser
with a signal. In return your browser responds with a return signal. This
communication allows the browser and server to determine the level of
encryption they both support and will use. Once signals are exchanged, your
browser will ask for our digital certificate. The certificate acts as our site
ID to ensure you that the transactions are between you and us. We receive
digital certificates from a Certificate Authority such as RSA Data Security
Inc. or VeriSign Inc. A Certificate Authority verifies a company's
identification and then issues a unique certificate as proof of identity.
Next,
the browser and the server create a master key. This master key is a codebook
that both sides use to encode and decode transmissions. Only your browser and
our server share that master key which is good only for that particular
session. The unique key allows your browser and our server to exchange sensitive
information in a way third parties can't understand.
Once
your transactions are complete and you leave our secure site, the master key
you once held with the server becomes useless. When you re-enter the secure
site, the hello, digital certificate and master key process start over again.
Purchasing
Sage Software
We only accept UK
credit and debit cards. We also accept cheques issued by a UK bank. We will
ship directly to the address registered to the card used for payment. We may
also ship to a registered company address by prior agreement.
We accept the credit cards shown on the web site. We do not charge for any item
until it is ready to ship. You may send your credit card information via
telephone, fax, Royal Mail or over the Internet via our secure site process.
We do not usually accept international orders as the products we supply are
specific to UK
taxation and legislation. If for any reason you are abroad but require a UK based
package, we suggest first calling us on 0845 2576905 to discuss the suitability
of the software for your needs.
When confirmation of order is received this is to indicate that we have
received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We
will indicate acceptance of your order and hence a contract between us when we
send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in case a mistake
has been made in pricing or we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are
no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a
change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is
acceptable.
